Ruohong Wu

Originally from China, Ruohong Wu was educated as architect at the Architectural Association School of architecture (AA) in London, where she received her diploma degree. She joined the master program in design & innovation in IED, Madrid. Her design and architecture work mainly focuses on the reflection of cultural differences and social changes. Her work has been widely exhibited at the Milan design week, JustMAD Madrid, London Building Centre and China Shenzhen architecture biennale. She is the co-founder of architecture&design office, RUJA OFFICE and editorial RUJA BOOKS.

Brynjar Sigurðarson Creative Studio

Brynjar Sigurðarson (1986) received a master's degree in product design from ECAL, Lausanne, in June 2011, following a bachelor degree from The Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavík, Iceland. His work is very linked to storytelling using various mediums such as furniture, drawings, photography, video and sound. Since 2011 he has been establishing his studio along with teaching at the Masters Department at ECAL, Lausanne. Current and recent studio projects involve work for Sevrés, CIRVA, Camper, Spark Design Space and the renowned Paris based design gallery Galerie Kreo.

Eleonora Castellarin

Born in 1988 in Friuli, Italy, Eleonora undertakes her studies in fine arts and design at the bachelor program of IUAV in Venice. After the graduation, she joins the research and development department of the University, and works at Osram Spa in Treviso. She moves to Lausanne to complete her studies at the Product Design Master of ECAL. Currently, she works at ECAL in the same Master program. In parallel, she is developing independent projects and collaborations with other designers. Eleonora’s research based approach to design comes from a constant curiosity for daily life scenarios and situations. Her work ranges from industrial and technical projects to smaller productions, writings and storytelling.

Moisés Hernández

Moisés Hernández (1983) is a Mexican born designer that explores his own personal concerns and inspiration, translating them into objects that could be an important part of people’s lives. Moisés graduated in 2013 as a Master of Product design in ECAL, in Lausanne Switzerland, obtaining special mention. He has exhibited his work in USA, Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland and Mexico. In 2012 Moises founded in collaboration with other 5 Mexican designers Panorámica, a design cooperative that explores new territories and interpret various perspectives and rationalities about design. In 2013 he created Diario, a brand that redesigns everyday Mexican objects.

Karen Maza-Madrazo

Karen Maza-Madrazo (1985, Santander, Spain) used to work as a creative art director in several advertisement agencies and design studios in Madrid and Berlín. In 2008 she decided to create her own studio, Eres lo más. Tú más, where she has been working independently for almost 7 years developing communication strategies and designing marketing campaigns. According to her passion for the publishing process and print design, in 2010 she cofounded the publishing house Esto no es Berlín, where she manages design and layouts in addition to visual communication campaigns for the collections.

Michal Fargo

Michal Fargo was born in 1984 in Tel Aviv and has graduated (BFA) from the Bezalel academy of art and design in Jerusalem's ceramic design department in 2011. Since her graduation Michal has been working independently, first as a resident artist at the Benyamini foundation and afterwards in her own studio in Tel Aviv. Michal has also been exhibiting throughout Europe, Australia and Israel. In her studio Michal is experimenting with new techniques and shapes while she tries to develop a personal aesthetic perspective. Her work varies between the definitions of craft and design and has a strong material.

Tomas Kral

Tomas Kral is the first designer to collaborate with PCM. Born in 1979 in Slovakia, he graduated from the Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne (ecal). After finishing his bachelor in Industrial Design in 2006, he received at ecal the Master Degree in the same field in 2008 and 'MAS' Diploma in luxury design in 2009. Since 2008, Tomas Kral has a product design studio based in Lausanne. In the context of industrial production and research, Kral's approach to design is characterized by a clear preoccupation with materials and processes. His pieces have been exhibited in venues such as Libby Sellers (London), Kreo (Paris), Helmrinderknecht (Berlin) and the Museum of Design in Zürich. His work has been several times awarded, such as the Swiss Federal Design Award in 2010.

Katharina Mischer (1982) and Thomas Traxler (1981) form Studio mischer‘traxler. Based in Vienna, they develop and design products, furniture, installations and more, with a focus on experiments and conceptual thinking. Their work not always results in single products but often as well in processes and integrated concepts. Balancing between hand craft and technology, they envision whole systems and new production methods that indicate sustainability and the relevance of nature.

Jean François Dingjian (1966) y Eloi Chafaï (1979) are Normal Studio, an industrial design agency founded in 2006 that stands up for a pure and simple design research on usual objects, avoiding the superfluous and the demonstration of any style or ornament. Artistic directors of Tolix brand since 2007, they have collaborated also for brands like Tefal, Eno or Schneider Electric. Awarded designers of the year by Philippe Stark in 2011 at Maison&Objet, they have obtained the LABEL VIA and the award for the best design collaboration at the Designer's Day for their work performed for Tolix.

Dunja Weber

Born in 1973 in Luxembourg, she graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1998. She has gathered experience at Cassina and at the studios of Italian designers Marco Ferreri and Stefano Giovannoni. Having been the right hand of internationally renowned James Irvine, she set out on her own in 2007. She specializes in furniture, industrial and exhibition design, and teaches at the Istituto Europeo di Design and at the Politecnico di Milan. Her professional goal is to design products which, while coherent and essential in every sense, manage to maintain their "simplicity". This is achieved through ease of use, clear and simple forms, and the most honest material utilization possible, while always keeping in mind the production process as well as the end user.
